The new buildings of the “Collegium Historicum Novum“ are the latest addition to the Adam Mickiewicz University campus in Poznan, one of the leading universities in Poland. The cube-like structure, designed by H.J. Buszkiewicz, houses the faculty of history and its departments.
Defining the transition between the inner courtyard and the building, as well as to the stairs leading inside, big slabs of rough honed Marianna Grey are positioned upright.
On the exterior floor, set as accent to the other stones, a row of Marianna Grey slabs tells the history of the Polish kings in sanded letters.
The uniform colour of the stone emphasizes the pure design of the buildings around it.
