During the renovation of the community pool of Altstädten/Sonthofen, an ecological swimming pool, about 120 tons of Kirchheimer Shell Limestone were used in various locations.
The ashlars in irregular lengths of 70-140 cm reinforce a slope and emphasize the natural character of the area as edgings for planted flower beds.
Towards the swimming area the water regeneration pool is separated by two rows of steplike ashlars, which invite visitors to sit and relax.
