Near the preserve area in Moscow’s Setun Valley, between Vereiskaya Street and Mozhaisk Highway, new apartment blocks of the “LIFE-Kutuzovsky” housing complex were completed.
Linked by single story buildings with shops and restaurants, the blocks shelter an inner yard with green areas, playground and walkways.
The yards are connected to the city space by roofed passages with large round skylights in them, underneath which trees were planted.
All visible roof edges and sides of the encircling flat buildings are clad with 3 cm thick natural stone slabs of VeroStone Jura Cream slabs with sandblasted surface, thus emphasizing the entity of the complex. The skylights were framed with slabs over 1 m long, their light color accentuating the rays of light.
