Architect: Anton Kerner
Eichstätt, Germany
After a thorough renovation the branch office of the Sparkasse Eichstätt-Ingolstadt presents itself in a new and modern appearance.
The ground floor of the appealing building was given a façade made of the local limestone Jura Cream with a sandblasted and brushed surface.
All slabs of the natural stone have a length of 61,0 cm but vary in height with 30,5 cm, 25,4 cm and 16,8 cm. The stone rows were set alternately in a different height and together with the slightly uneven surface lend the wall an interesting look.
The just 1 cm thick panels were glued to the structure in a thermal insulation composite system.
