Located in the centre of Stockholm near the Citybanan Station, the largest and busiest terminal in Sweden, the „Stockholm Continental“ rises into the sky: a mulitifunctional building with apartments, a hotel and a shopping and service area for commuters. The exterior façade of this spectacular building, designed by 3XN Architects, is clad in VeroStone® Jura Cream. The slanted sides of the four sections are emphasized by large trapezoid slabs, whose forms were elaborately crafted by CAD operated bridge saws. These slabs have a diamond honed surface, the reveals around the windows show a wide gratine surface. The fixing of the slabs was done on a substructure with Fischer undercut anchors.
